“The Virgin and Child with a Flower on a Grassy Bank” was found by someone else in 2019.
Google led Schorer to Brainerd Phillipson, a rare book dealer, who sold him a William Blake poetry book.
Works by Durer are quite rare and the last one to go on the market was in 1978, so Schorer didn’t think it would be an actual work by the artist.
