Alice Sebold’s rape memoir ‘Lucky’ pulled by publisher after Anthony Broadwater’s exoneration

Simon & Schuster, the publisher of “Lucky” under the Scribner label, has stopped releasing copies in all formats, including print and digital.

As of Wednesday evening, Amazon still had copies for sale, as well as used and new versions sold by the online retailer’s partners.

Anthony Broadwater, 61, wipes tears away as he describes the obstacles in his life since being convicted in the 1981 rape of Alice Sebold, then a freshman at Syracuse University who later went on to become a best-selling author.
