Grey-Bruce ready to return to Green zone, if province says so

Green is the least-restrictive of the five zones of increasingly restrictive public health measures.

“So if there is a regional approach, Grey-Bruce is ready to be in good standing for example to re-open schools,” Arra said.

David Williams, Ontario’s medical officer of health, said Monday he wants to see daily COVID-19 case counts well below 1,000 before reducing public health restrictions.

“And the daily average, or the weekly average is less than five new cases per day, which is quite manageable.

So far, 1,254 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Grey-Bruce and 1,213 of them are considered resolved.

“We are ready,” he said.

There were 2,073 more confirmed cases of the virus and 15 more deaths.
