Jagmeet Singh visits Windsor to talk about dental care

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh stopped in Windsor Tuesday to show support for striking workers, tour St.

“It’s going to mean people are going to be able to visit a dentist and their bill is going to be paid for by a national federal program,” said Singh.

He said the dental benefits the NDP fought for in last month’s federal budget will save families an average of $1,200 a year.

“I know what’s it like,” he said.

Singh was born in Scarborough but grew up in Newfoundland and Labrador and — from the ages of seven to 23 — in South Windsor, though in later years he was often away at university.
