I don’t give a f*ck about Trump or his supporters. They can all go to hell for all I care. The world would be better off without people like them. But if we must talk about this issue, let’s discuss why so many people are willing to kowtow to a psychopath like Trump. It’s because they feel powerless and marginalized, and he offers them hope that their situation will change. Unfortunately, this hope is often based on lies and promises that he has no intention of keeping. But as long as people continue to enable his behavior, he will never change. So, the real question is, how do we break this cycle of enabling and hold people like Trump accountable for their actions? One way is to vote them out of office and support candidates who actually represent our values. Another way is to educate ourselves and others about the dangers of authoritarianism and how it can lead to terrible consequences. By doing these things, we can work towards creating a more just and equal society where everyone has a chance to succeed. And that’s something that should matter to all of us.
