As CEO of Smart city Indore, he is spearheading initiatives for carbon credits-being the first city in Asia to earn from Carbon credits; building sludge treatment plants; doing GIS mapping of the city for efficient delivery of services and redevelopment of several heritage structures.

He explained the various problems in converting existing city into a smart city like- shifting of locality, destroying encroachments, shifting of sewage and water supply lines, electricity poles, and underground telephone cables without or with minor damages.
