Recent shootings ‘a concerning trend’ says Kawartha Lakes Police Chief – Peterborough Examiner

First Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a disturbance at a residence on Lindsay Street North January 30 and arrived to find a victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Next, on March 11, police were called to the area of Peel and Albert streets in Lindsay for another reported shooting, this time in broad daylight in the immediate area of several schools, and arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

During the Police Service Board meeting, Chief Mitchell also mentioned a third incident in which his officers made another arrest of a suspect who was in possession of a loaded firearm.
