The 2023 edition of The Vancouver Sun Run had its in-person race on Sunday.
Burnaby’s Justin Kent, who finished third in the 2022 race, came in second this year with a time of 29:43.
In the wheelchair race, Leo Sammarelli finished first with a time of 35:18.
• W 4th Ave/W 6th Ave, Pine to 3rd & Alberta: 8:30 a.m.
• Pat Quinn Way, from Expo Blvd to Pacific Blvd.: 5 a.m.
SkyTrain will start service on the Expo/Millennium Lines half an hour earlier than normal, with the first train leaving King George at 6:38 a.m., Lafarge Lake-Douglas at 6:26 a.m., and Waterfront at 7:20 a.m.
Coast Mountain Bus will have a number of reroutes in effect, taking the buses away from Georgia between Pender and Richards, the West End, Granville Street downtown, Burrard Bridge, Cambie Bridge and 2nd Avenue in Kitsilano.
Those coming on SkyTrain can purchase two tickets at the station in the morning when they’re coming in and saving one of those tickets for the trip home.
Transit customers will have to pay only a single-zone fare of $3.10 for an Adult Fare, $2.05 for a Concession Fare and Kids under 12 are free to travel throughout the entire bus, SkyTrain and SeaBus network.

Place at 9 a.m., just in time to entertain the Shaw Mini Sun Runners and the first of the elite runners crossing the finish line at about 9:30 a.m.
At 11 a.m., presentations will be made to the top finishers and the top Canadians, both male and female, and to the winners of the masters and wheelchair divisions.
