Ted Lasso’s Saddest Character Gets a Happy Holiday

Ted Lasso decided we could all use an advance on holiday cheer.

But as the episode unfolds, Higgins finds himself host to virtually the whole team in a heartwarming sequence that illustrates how much the players have bonded under their new coach.

He has an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a comedy series, competing against fellow Ted Lasso actors Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Nick Mohammed.

When he said no one ever attends, I thought, oh no, this is going to be a sad one for him.

But of course it’s a reflection of Ted’s positivity and bringing people together as a community.

But we do see at home in the first season that he’s got a solid marriage, and teenage kids who are going to be a little bit whiny, but he’s there for them.

In episode two of the first season, there’s a scene where I was putting up my hand for a high five as the players are walking past, and not one takes me up on it.
