“That was the only time in my life that I ever considered suicide,” Smith said, who is seen later in the trailer wiping tears from his eyes.
The lines are staffed by a mix of paid professionals and unpaid volunteers trained in crisis and suicide intervention.
“This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry,” Smith wrote in an Instagram post about the series earlier this year.
The release of the series is set to coincide with Smith’s upcoming memoir, “Will,” due out November 9.
