Cannabis reportedly helps ease some endometriosis-associated symptoms | Regina Leader Post

Endometriosis is associated with a variety of symptoms, including chronic pelvic pain, fatigue, period pain, painful sex, painful bowel movements and pain related to urination.

They looked at the data of 252 people who identified as suffering endometriosis and had 16,193 sessions of using weed between April 2017 and February 2020 .

Almost six in 10, 57.3 per cent, of women identified pain as the most common symptom.

Indeed, gastrointestinal symptoms and mood were most improved with oral forms of the drug while inhaled forms were best for reducing pain, note authors of the paper.

“The ratio of THC to CBD had a statistically significant, yet clinically small, differential effect on efficacy, depending on method of ingestion,” the paper points out.
