Nineteen people have been charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, as well as cultivating, propagating or harvesting any cannabis plant at a place that is not their dwelling.
Twelve of the accused are from Kingsville and the rest are from Leamington, Wheatley, Scarborough, North York, and Markham.
“The proliferation of illegal marihuana grow operations, as evidenced by this recent significant seizure in Leamington and Kingsville, demonstrates the resolve by criminal enterprise groups to profit from illegal activity,” Essex OPP Insp.
