How One CA Company Is Training Gen Z To Become Future Cannabis Leaders

Launched in partnership with the University of California, Santa Barbara, the “Seed to Sale Internship” program was developed to give students the opportunity to experience all levels of the cannabis industry supply chain from cultivation to retail.

Currently, only four spots are available for the session that runs from June 21 to July 30, with another four spots for the August 2 to September 10 session.

Many of our best and brightest employees started with us as talented young adults under the age of 30, and we hope that through the internship program we can find more great minds who will help to innovate and propel the industry forward.

They will cut clones in propagation, learn about integrated pest management in cultivation, trim buds in processing, tag plants with state-mandated track and trace, learn about extraction and packaging in manufacturing and learn about the wide variety of products and categories at our retail stores.

Farrar: We are looking for candidates who share many of the same values as Glass House Group: sustainability, inclusivity, community and curiosity.

Farrar: We would like interns to get a broad overview and understanding of the various aspects of the cannabis industry.

Beyond that, as leaders in the industry in the largest market in the world, we may be able to provide job opportunities in a time of exponential growth, a steppingstone into what we hope will be a rewarding career for all our interns.
