OPP satisfied with cannabis impairment detection tools despite study

They’re not about levels per se or the amount of cannabis or THC that might be in somebody’s blood.

The study found in states with laws permitting the recreational consumption of cannabis, there may be a small yet significant increase in motor vehicle collisions and fatalities.

“The chronic users, the people that are on it every day all the time, will always have a presence of THC in their system,” said OPP Sgt.
